About Us
Galliher & Huguely was founded in 1912 by George W. Huguely Sr. and William G. Galliher. In 1929, Mr. Huguely acquired Mr. Galliher's interest in the company. Since then, its management has continued under the direction of the Huguely family. The family's fourth generation is now actively involved in the company's daily operation.
Our customers and employees refer to us as
G&H. Since inception, we have committed ourselves to the lumber,
millwork, hardware, and building supply needs of the Washington D.C.
community. Our customers include custom home builders, residential and
commercial contractors, property management companies, government
agencies, institutions, as well as the homeowner. Today, we remain as
the only full-service building supply dealer in Washington, D.C. We are LSDBE Certified.
From our upper Northwest location, we are able to readily serve all of Washington, D.C., including surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia. Our location is convenient for both customer pick-up and delivery. Our store hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 4:00pm, and on Saturday from 7:30am to 12:00 noon.
